Our family moved to Eastern Kentucky in June 2006 to begin our "Great Adventure" serving the teenagers and families in the Tri-City areas of Cumberland, Benham, and Lynch. From the moment we arrived,
God began introducing us to teenagers that were lost and searching desperately for
the hope only found in Jesus Christ. We officially opened Club 180 in July 2006
and was immediately out of space trying to minister to over 100 teenagers in a
very small store front. We began praying and as God continued to shape and
mold this ministry, in His timing He showed us a building that now houses Club
180 Ministry and has exploded and grown into more than we could have ever
imagined. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not
on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct
your path." That's what this ministry is all about. Trusting God with all that we are
and all that we have and watching as He leads us and directs the steps of this ministry. We are so humbled to be a part of God's work here in Eastern Kentucky and have witnessed so many lives change, not by anything that we have done, but through the saving grace of our Lord and Savior. We have only been obedient to His calling.
Our oldest daughter Niki, has recently gotten married to Andrew Denney and is completing
her Bachelor's Degree at University of Louisville in Anthropology. It has been difficult
letting go, but we know God has great plans for her life as she
continues to seek His will. Nissa completed her Associates Degree
in Arts at Southeast Community College and is working toward a
career in Photogrophy. She has a true heart for prayer and God
shines through her everyday as she is light in this community.
Please continue to pray for our family and this ministry as we serve on faith trusting God for His provisions.
